Snyder County Libraries is thrilled to announce the start of our annual Summer Reading Program (SRP)! Beginning June 3, you can register at any of our branches, including Beavertown, Middleburg, and Selinsgrove. Due to upcoming construction, we kindly ask our McClure participants to register at one of the other branches.
Why Join the Summer Reading Program?
Engage Your Kids in Reading: The SRP encourages children to develop a daily reading habit. For preschool-aged children, we recommend reading (or being read to) for at least 10 minutes per day. For children in grades K-2, aim for at least 20 minutes per day, and for those in grades 3-5, at least 30 minutes per day. However, we understand that every child is unique, so feel free to set a daily goal that works best for your family.
Earn Rewards: Participants can earn card punches for meeting their daily reading goals and attending library programs. These punches can be redeemed for exciting rewards such as books, games, and other prizes!
Special Events to Look Forward To:
Throughout the summer, our libraries will host a variety of engaging programs and events to keep your children motivated and excited about reading. From storytime sessions to creative workshops, there’s something for everyone! Make sure to check out the calendar on our website for more information.
How to Register:
Registration is easy! Simply visit one of our participating branches—Beavertown, Middleburg, or Selinsgrove—and sign up. Our friendly staff will provide all the information you need to get started and help you set reading goals for your children.
Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to keep your kids engaged, learning, and having fun all summer long. Join the Snyder County Libraries’ Summer Reading Program today and make this a summer to remember!
