Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program provides free tax preparation for individuals earning $60,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and those with limited English proficiency, offering electronic filing through IRS-certified volunteers. Available to Snyder and Union County residents, VITA appointments can be scheduled starting mid-January at locations in Selinsgrove and Lewisburg by calling (570) 374-0181 (option 4), with required documents including Social Security cards, income documents, and banking details for direct deposit.
